And the Nominees Are...
With the Oscar announcements last week, I realized the only movies I have seen are Wall-E and The Dark Knight. This is a shock to me since back in the day I would have seen close to all. I think the reason is a mix of being much busier now and newly frugal. I guess I need to figure out if I want to see any before the awards at the end of February...
And Mall Cop is the #1 movie two weekends in a row!? Wow, I guess I'm totally out-of-touch.

I hate paying to see movies all the time, so we use Netflix to keep up. Any time we see an ad or hear of a movie that looks good, I'll add it to our queue (you can add them way before the movie's actually available) - if we end up seeing it, I'll remove it from the queue, and otherwise, we'll get to see it... in about six months.
Sounds like a good plan - and another check in the "Let's-Give-Netflix-a-Go!" column. Have you guys ever tried watching streaming Netflix?
Netflix is a really good idea. I am patient, I can wait for the movie to come out.
We do stream Netflix sometimes, with mixed results. The quality was really good in the beginning, but there were very few movies and shows to watch. It seems like more people are catching on now, because our movies tend to buffer more slowly. (In order to watch a 22-minute episode of 30 Rock without it stopping to rebuffer, we have to start the movie, pause it, and then go brush our teeth.) But there are a lot of movies and shows available now, which is nice. We pay something like $9 a month for one movie at a time and unlimited streaming.
