A Now Hooptie Ride

I was just a little stressed out yesterday while running errands downtown and as I was going into the parking structure, I fought a large cement post and lost. I think it is time for a vacation!

Numismatist In Training

While waiting in the very long, slow moving line at the Post Office, I was thinking "whatever this is, it had better be good". Finally, the lady handed me this tiny envelope...and I let out a tiny squeal inside of my head as I knew exactly what it was! My 1608 James I sixpence!A little hobby I enjoy and share with my Dad is collecting currency. I wanted something special for the "sixpence in my shoe" and after months of research and searching, I decided I wanted a 400-year old English coin with the head of the King of England and Scotland. I love the coin and can't wait to expand my collection!

Girls' Weekend

Even though it poured all weekend and was freezing cold, we all had a wonderful time in SF. We spent all day Saturday shopping and gossiping as we battled the wind and rain and tried to stay dry. The main purpose for our trip was to see the Cirque du Soleil show Kooza in San Jose on Saturday evening and it was amazing! The show took the traditional circus acts and added the Cirque twist, making an artistic show full of shocking stunts. We all recommend you see it!

It was probably due to the weather, as it was decided that warm and sunny Palm Springs would be the destination for next year's little reunion!

It Has Begun!

It is now February.
We are getting married at the end of this month.
I can officially start panicking now!

I kept thinking I have so much time, but looking at the calendar I realize Ben and I leave in 2 weeks and the list of stuff to do is only getting longer! My stress level is already pretty high and definitely started to climb when today proved to be a bad day (a horrible dress fitting and my wedding band that arrived is not quite right).

Going out-of-town to SF this weekend is something I shouldn't be doing (I have so much to do!), but I am glad to spend some great quality time with friends and leave all my stress and panic behind!
