Booked!

We finally did it! After some stressful moments, Ben and I have successfully booked this large house for our families and wedding for the last week of February. I am so excited! The interior is gorgeous and it is going to be very cozy during the cold Scottish winter. Now with exactly 3 months to go, we have just the last few details to worry about - minister, rings, photographer, caterer, florist...and flights, family vacation coordination, honeymoon booking, etc! YIKES, there is still a lot to do!

Me-hi-co!

Like before, Mexico was amazing!!! Ben and I, along with his parents, enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving by relaxing (definitely much needed)! The trip highlights include:

  • A gorgeous view of the harbor from our room.
  • Lounging on the beach under a palapya catching up on some reading and working on our tans.
  • Enjoying the warm ocean water with a few swims and walks along the beach.
  • (Again my favorite) - "Super" guacamole and totopos served on the beach for lunch.
  • A good driving range and an amazing spa with relaxing massages.
  • Walking along the Malécon admiring the sculptures.
  • Lunch on the river and dinner on the beach in town.
  • Successful shopping -- beautiful black clay pot.
The weather was great and I was so happy while I was there. It was hard to leave, especially to the drastically colder weather we are having! Enjoy the pictures and think warm thoughts with me!

Turkey Tacos Anyone?

We are off to spend Thanksgiving in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a relaxing week enjoying the sun! I doubt we will be eating turkey tacos, but fish tacos sound mighty tasty! Adios Amigos!

I'm A Millennial

Ben sent me an email that contained a link to a short segment from the TV show 60 Minutes about the Millennials in the workplace. It was very interesting to me so I thought it needed to be shared. Enjoy!

Kitty's Fake Nails

I know what everyone is thinking: Andrea got a mani/pedi for Princess! She's become a crazy cat lady! Technically I was going crazy, panicking about Princess ripping apart our brand new sofas! So to maintain my sanity I purchased Soft Paws (don't worry, her's are not bright blue like the model cat, but clear). White Kitty was not too happy when we put them on (I don't think she liked Ben holding her for that long), but now doesn't seemed bothered at all by her new fake nails. The wonderful side benefit for us, she can't scratch us either!

Hello Moto

Much to Ben's joy, I finally did it - I got a new cell phone! The old Motorola v60 I had for 4.5 years was not holding a charge for very long and recently was not charging at all, so I decided if I waited any longer I would risk having no cell phone coverage. As much as I love the iPhone, I could not justify it's high cost and expensive data plan (I really don't need to check my email all the time) so I decided to just get a regular old phone. The Motorola W385 fit my needs perfectly and got good reviews, so I was convinced and went down to Verizon after work yesterday to pick one up. I am excited to join the land of color screens and cameras. The best part is with the 2 year contract renewal price, my $100 new phone credit, and their $50 rebate, the phone is FREE!

Many Small Increases = Less $$$

A professional organization I belong to sent this to me and I thought it was interesting enough to share...
