Finding Happiness
These points seem like common sense, but reading it was a good reminder.
Living in beautiful California, Working in a cool food research laboratory, Loving a wonderful guy named Ben.
I am exhausted. Two early mornings of cow work has left me tired and sore. The good news is I left work early today to pick Ben up at the airport! He is tired too but happy to be home after being out-of-town for 3 weeks. On the flight, he had a quasi-celebrity run-in (I question if celebrity is the correct word) with Mike "The Miz" Mizanin of MTV Real World fame. Yeah I remember him in those shows. I think I watched too much MTV back in the day.
The current outside temperature is 107 F, with a real feel of 110 F.
Most people know that I am a 100% night owl. Always have been (in high school I could never get to school on time, in college I took afternoon classes). Hmmm...maybe now the title of "Night Owl" isn't totally true since I usually go to bed around 11pm and wake up around 8am. Honestly, I think I have changed and just like sleep (9 hours to be exact) and have gotten lazy due to my flexible job. Ben (my night-owl-partner-in-crime) sent me this article and I think we are going to give it a try. I doubt I will become a 5am person, but if I can regularly get to work at 8:30am I will be happy.
Lately I find myself reading a lot of articles about debt and consumption in American society, which are currently prevalent on the internet due to the status of the economy. The latest article I read was a brief NY Times Op-Ed piece that I agree with and decided to share.
Love the song. Love the ad. Made the purchase. Yeah I'm a marketing sucker (in my defense, Apple is pretty good at the whole marketing thing). Long live life!
Twice as fast. Half the price.
Last weekend, Ben and I made a quick trip up to SF to find a wedding band for me. (Yep 3 months after the big day, we are total slackers!) I just didn't like the wedding band used in the ceremony. It was purchased rather quickly with no time to change it, so I went with it for the ceremony knowing I could fix it later.
