It's Number 6!

Ben and I made it to the 6th anniversary of when we became a couple. He is in Oklahoma and I am overloaded with work right now, but it was fun to look up this old picture of our first date (taken at the SigEp house on the night of the Big Wednesday Party - May 20, 2000) and be shocked at how young we both look. Happy Anniversary Sweetie and here's to number 7!

Number 8 - It's Really Great!

It has been eight years together, and this last year has been exceptionally special! Ben is currently in Oregon on business (we definitely have a trend going), so my sister is going to accompany me to the Matchbox 20 concert tonight. The above picture was taken last week at the awesome John Mayer concert and notice I am wearing last year's gift (totally didn't plan that one).

The Luckiest Girl

Last year Ben and I were apart on our anniversary as Ben was out-of-town, and this year unfortunately will be the same as I will be at a conference in Chicago. Sitting in the airport waiting for my flight yesterday morning, I apologized to Ben for not getting his card ready in time (we had decided not to exchange gifts) and he confessed he hadn't gotten mine ready either. Late last night while I was unpacking, I came across this at the bottom of my suitcase...Shocked, I carefully untied the white ribbon and opened the blue box. Inside the pouch was......our infinite symbol! I smiled and grabbed the phone to give Ben a call and share my joy. It made me smile even bigger to find out that he had this planned for awhile (he made a point to fly through Dallas during his last Oklahoma trip so he could make the purchase).

His reason for the gift...."it is our last anniversary before we are married."

Awwww....what a sweetie! Happy 7th Anniversary!

The Last Day of February

It is the big day. 365 days of married life for us! It is fun thinking back to a year ago and all of the little details that made the day so special. It really was perfect and I wouldn't have changed a thing!
